Fall is one of my favorite seasons to decorate for. The cozy colors and textures just make your home feel so warm and inviting. But fall decor can seem daunting if you’re not sure where to start. Don’t worry – I’m sharing 20 simple fall decor ideas to transform your space without breaking the bank.
1. Fresh Autumn Greenery
Place three different dried floral arrangements of seeded eucalyptus, birch branches and rose hips around the mantle. Tuck additional touches of floral picks throughout – in a mug next to your favorite fall scented candle, on the kitchen windowsill, on the front porch in a terra cotta pot.
2. Warm Candles
Display three different scented pillars on either side of the dining table – a pumpkin spice scent, warm cider and cozy cranberry orange. Consider smaller tea lights too to light the way to the front door or down the hallway.
3. Cozy Throw Pillows and Blankets
Decoratively fold an oversized plaid throw at the foot of the couch and drape a faux fur blanket over one armchair for guests. Add rustic buffalo check and burlap pillows with fringed tassels.
4. Wreaths on Doors and Walls
Hang coordinating mini wreaths on the porch light fixtures using curled wire ribbon. Attach a larger 16″ wreath woven with eucalyptus leaves and pinecones to the front door with a satin bow.
5. Faux Gourds and Veggies
Showcase your arrangement of faux cottonseed pumpkins, squashes and gourds in a galvanized metal bushel basket or wood planter on the front porch, flanked by potted mums.
6. Dried Floral Centerpieces and Frames
Fill a clear glass cylinder vase or terra cotta pot with a neutral toned arrangement of seeded eucalyptus, flax stems and berries. Cluster 3 mismatched frames of mixed florals on the sitting room mantel.
7. Coffee Table Book Stacks
Start a cozy reading nook by stacking books themed around fall entertainment – recipes, gardening tips, travel guides showcasing changing foliage. Tuck a cashmere plaid throw over the arm of the couch.
